Sarah is currently a sophomore in high school and has been passionate about STEM ever since she was young. She has been working with kids since middle school and was a part of the United Way tutoring initiative last summer as well as an assistant coach for Xianghao Swimming Club for two years. She was one of the original team members to start up My STEM Help and designed the logo and contributed to the creation of the website.
Sarah has been participating in math competitions ever since fourth grade and she qualified for Mathcounts States all three years in middle school. She participated in Science Olympiad Division B and won a gold medal in ecology. She took part in the Girls in Math competition at Yale in the winter of 2020 and her team placed 3rd overall. She currently takes AP Calculus BC and AP Computer Science A at her school and was the first eighth grade student to win the Walter A. Davis Jr. Math award at GCDS. Sarah is on the math, science, computer science, and robotics teams at GA. Her robotics team were the state champions and qualified for FTC Worlds in the spring of 2020. When she’s not doing math, Sarah enjoys creating art or watching Criminal Minds, sometimes both at the same time. She’s won two gold keys in the Connecticut Scholastic Art Competition and a CAEA in the ceramics division. She’s excited to see you in a session!
